So I think I'm done! This has, by far, been the fastest and most fun art project I think we have done all year. My finished piece is what Raina describes as "cake frosting and Jackson Pollock" mushed into one canvas and I'm kinda proud about that. I guess I'm technically not 100% finished because I still need to have a title and I'm still fiddling with the whole dragonflies thing and how that would relate to my content. But overall, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out- it's like kinda a hot mess (which I relate to) but it also has pink and purple which makes me happy because while those colors were unintentional, I'm glad they made their way onto the canvas and idk it was just a really fun piece to create.

Good work. I see that you posted your practice paintings earlier - awesome - it could be nice to include them in your final post as well, to bring the whole project together and to reflect on how they did/did not influence your final work. Also.... there's no reason you couldn't crop this photo better so that we really focus on the finality of the painting! I can't wait to see what you decide for the title!

Your reflections are detailed and fun to read because I can feel your excitement in this project! You balance praise and polish of your own work and build upon what you think needs improvement in the next one to create a stunning final piece. Taking a straight on picture is hard but if you can, maybe retake the final picture so that it is as forward and evenly cropped as possible. Your process of layering gestural marks is fun and energetic and I can't wait to see how this energy follows into the sculpture project!

Thank you for updating that final picture. Very nice work with ALL the PROCESS posts - you do a great job keeping up with them and taking the time to reflect thoughtfully about what you are doing and why! Well done.
