So I began another sphere and a partial start of another one but I'm still fairly unsure of what I'm going to use as a light source. Originally, I wanted to use light bulbs hanging from individual cords but that's a little too pricey for the project so I'm either thinking tea lights or fairly lights in glass jars. I'm leaning more towards the latter because it captures that same aesthetic and is much more affordable than the light bulbs. I'm also still trying to work out the details of the mirror fragments dangling around the globes themselves and whether or not I want to have broken, shattered pieces or more finished and refined ones. I'm going to see what is available online and if I can envision them on my sculpture, then I'll probably go with them but we will see...

I like the "nest-like" forms of the wire! I don't think the bulb/cords are too pricey - if that's what it needs to be that's what it needs to be. Once you can explain your content in one sentence, you can determine what decision is the best for your sculpture. The way these forms are meant to hang also will affect your decision.... In your next process post, you can show your thumbnail sketches that illustrate your vision (even though vision may change along the way!).
